2.11 Detail Movement will not be responsible, held accountable, and liable for any changes, product changes, price changes, cancellations, out-of-stock or stopping of production, loss, or damage that may result as a result of you (the Client) or any contractor, subcontractor, specialist or supplier or any third party website usage of the purchase list delivered to you as part of any of our design services.
2.12 Detail Movement will not be responsible, held accountable, and liable for any difference in colour, texture, fabric, material, quality, and composition for any item provided in the purchase list as recommendations for any of our design services. Actual products may differ in reality from how they are represented online (website pictures). If you do have any problems with an item, please speak with the official Provider/Supplier who takes care of the production and distribution of the said item.
2.13 Any links to third-party websites provided to you in the purchase list are for your convenience only. We have no connection to any of the third-party websites, privacy policies, and terms and conditions and therefore have no responsibility for such third-party websites or their content. We do not endorse third-party websites or make representations about them or any material contained in them. If you choose to access a third-party website link from this website, you do so at your own risk.
2.14 The Client is solely responsible for checking the dimensions of the furniture pieces recommended to them before purchasing, for arranging the purchase, item delivery, shipment & installation. Any purchase list provided from any of our design services is to be regarded as a recommendation only. All items recommended on the list provided by any of our design services were selected based on the information received from the client. You are not in any way obligated to purchase them. We do not work with affiliate links and we do not receive a percentage from their sale.
2.14.1 Detail Movement does not undertake any order, purchase, delivery, shipment, or installation on behalf of or for the client. Detail Movement does not hire any contractor, subcontractor, specialist, or supplier on behalf of or for the client.
2.14.2 Detail Movement does not receive anything from recommending a specific item, for we do not have any affiliate links or special discounts set up with any product Brand or Provider.
2.14.3 It is the Client’s responsibility to check that any product ordered will pass freely into the room of choice, that it will fit in that room, that it can be transported via any door, stairs, windows, and doorways, and that there are no other issues that could add difficulties to the delivery of said products. Detail Movement will not accept liability for any purchases, or alterations made in relation to the 2D or 3D illustrative image, or any other part of any design service offered by Detail Movement.
2.15 Once completed, the E-Design service will be delivered (as per payment details below) to you, online, via e-mail. If you wish to change any part of the project, you can do so twice, free of charge, provided that you express so to us in writing within 5 working days. We will try to accommodate your request and return the revision within a reasonable amount of time, starting from the day of the written confirmation on our part.
2.15.1 On receipt of the Client’s revision requests, Detail Movement reserves the right to request payment of additional fees before continuing further work where Detail Movement is reasonable of the view that the Client’s request(s) will involve a substantial revision or change to the design plan (i.e. change half or all of the furniture or colour or any fundamental part or piece in the design concept). If you wish to further change the design, we can do so by initiating a new design service subjected to that design service’s fee.
2.15.2 There are 2 free revisions included in the E-Design service price. If you require any further revisions, these are available at an additional £150 per revision. A revision consists of finding alternatives for 2 - 5 items of furniture (decorative lighting and accessories included) and alternatives to 2 materials (paint colours included). Anything beyond this is considered a majour change in the design and will be charged as a new design service, as per 2.15.1. However, your approval will be requested before issuing any new invoice.
2.15.3 Where a package includes 3D renders of designs, ‘revision’ eligibility does not include additional 3D renders. Any such requests will be treated as substantial material revisions to the Design Plan and a quotation for additional fees will be provided to you, the Client.
2.15.4 However, Detail Movement will not withhold access to revisions unreasonably for the 3D renders provided in the service. For the avoidance of any doubt, if the revision includes small changes such as the movement of items, or colours, these changes will be included in the revisions. Big changes to built-in items and big changes to the structure of the layout or the design, will be considered as substantial material revisions to the Design Plan and a quotation for additional fees will be provided to you, the Client.
2.16 Once completed, the Design Fix Session (the One-Off Session option or the 30-Days Support option) deliverables will be delivered (as per payment details below) to you, online, via e-mail within the time frame specified. There are no revisions available for this service.
2.17 You warrant and confirm that the Client Information you disclose to us will be sufficient, accurate, and complete in every respect.
2.18 You acknowledge and agree that any 2D and 3D designs Detail Movement produces for you are intended for illustrative and inspirational purposes only and are not intended to provide an exact specification for an interior design project or site work or structural modifications to the site, nor to guarantee specific results, nor will it necessarily comply with any relevant construction laws, regulations or guidance, whether statutory or non-statutory.
2.19 Detail Movement will reasonably endeavour to ensure that all retail product links provided to you in the Design Services are currently in stock or have a short lead time, in order to assist you with purchasing the products. Detail Movement does not guarantee that the items recommended in any of the Design Services will be available for purchase at all or within a specific time frame. Detail Movement does not guarantee stock availability or a fixed price on the items suggested to you as part of the design process and service.
2.20 By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you also give us your consent to upload your design project to our website as an example of our work. No information about you that you have sent to us or that relates to you in any way, including pictures/photos of your room that were previously sent will be disclosed. However, pictures/photos or parts of pictures/photos of your favourite items or pieces of furniture (provided by you) might appear in the final presentation board and/or photos as part of the final design that will be uploaded onto our website. Also, pictures/photos and or parts of pictures/photos of your room(s) that were previously sent by you to us, can be used and displayed in a “before and after” manner for marketing and promotional purposes.
2.21 By accepting these Terms and Conditions, you give up your copyright to any of your pictures or part of pictures that contain an item, part, or piece of an item that you wish to incorporate into the final design. No information in connection to you will be revealed, however, the final presentation board will become Detail Movement's Intellectual Property. To clear up any confusion, once the final presentation board is sent to you, you cannot accuse Detail Movement or any person involved in the design process, of copyright infringement (for any picture/photos or part of picture/photos provided by you to us, which was used in the design process).
3. Payment
3.1 There are different Design Services that Detail Movement offers: E-Design, Online Design Consultation (the One-Off Session option or the One Month Support option), and the Interior Design Service. The price for each package is per room, except where indicated otherwise. All prices are including VAT.
3.2 The Design Services can be subject to specific price quotes, depending on the nature of your project, size, and complexity. For more information or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at raluca@detailmovement.com
3.3 Payment is done exclusively via bank payments.
3.4 Prior to starting work and depending on the design services requested, a deposit payment might be required. For E-Design, Online Design Consultation (the One-Off Session option or the One Month Support option), full payment is required in advance. An invoice will be issued to your email, along with the information needed for you to make the payment (unless stated otherwise). All invoices are due within 7 days of receipt of the invoice, except where payment is required at check-out.
3.4.1 Prior to starting work on any Interior Design Service, a design fee quote will be provided. Upon acceptance, a deposit payment that has been agreed upon in the signed contract is required as payment in advance. An invoice will be issued to your email, along with the information needed for you to make the payment. All invoices for any Interior Design Service are due within 10 days of receipt of the invoice.
3.4.2 Works on any Design Service (depending on the service requested) will begin after the full payment has been received by our bank accounts and we have received all the necessary information from you, the client (i.e. photos of the space, dimensions, layout, questionnaire completed, etc) needed in order to begin the design process.
3.4.3 To clear any confusion, a written confirmation (by email) from Detail Movement will be issued to the client once we have received the full payment and all the information from the client (required in order to start the project). The delivery time frame (i.e. 1 week, 2 weeks, etc, depending on the service chosen) will begin from the following working day or the next following working day if payment was received on a Bank Holiday or weekend. Any refund of the payment after this date will only be available as per 4.3. This is in order to protect Detail Movement's time and commitments to our other clients that have purchased our services and for Detail Movement to maintain the standard and quality of our design services.
3.5 The accepted currency for all design services is the British Pound (GBP).
3.6 For the possibility of cancellation and/or refund, please see our refund policy.
3.7 By purchasing any of Detail Movement’s design services you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed with our Terms and Conditions.
4. Refund Policy for Online Design Services
4.1 If you wish to cancel your purchase before the design process has begun, please contact us with your name, design service selection, date of purchase, and request to cancel at raluca@detailmovement.com. If you have made the payment but have not yet sent the rest of the information required to begin the design process, a full refund will be issued.
4.2 If for any reason, you wish to cancel your purchase after the design process has begun and within 14 days of payment being received and all the necessary information has been sent by the Client to the Designer, please contact us at raluca@detailmovement.com with your name, design service selection, date of purchase and request to cancel the service. Only after receiving your written request, will the cancellation process begin.
4.2.1 A written confirmation from Detail Movement will be issued to the client confirming the cancellation of the design process. However, a deposit of 50% of the total fee of the design service in question (E-Design, Online Design Consultation) will be held by Detail Movement, representing an expenditure for Detail Movement's time and commitment to the technical and creative activities required as part of this process. This is in order to protect Detail Movement's time and commitments to our other clients who have purchased our services and for Detail Movement to maintain the standard and quality of our design services.
4.2.2 If for any reason, you wish to cancel your purchase after the design process has begun and more than 14 days have passed from payment and all the necessary information sent by the Client to the Designer, you will no longer be entitled to a refund. This is in order to protect Detail Movement's time and commitments to our other clients who have purchased our services and for Detail Movement to maintain the standard and quality of our design services.
4.3 Once the deliverables of either interior design service (E-Design, Online Design Consultation), have been delivered to you, the Client, no refunds are available. If you are not happy with the final result, there is the option to use the free revisions included in the service (if applicable), opt for an additional revision, or start a new design service.
4.4 For Interior Design Services, there are no available refunds due to the bespoke nature of the project. However, at each stage of the Interior Design Service, there is the opportunity to end the contract and not proceed to the next stage in the Design. More information will be available in the Interior Design Service specific contract.
4.5 For any digital products sold via our Online Shop, due to the nature of the products themselves, once purchased, no refunds are available.
5. Right to selective Clientele
5.1 Detail Movement reserves the right to refuse services to any client who has purchased any of Detail Movement’s design services but has failed to provide the additional necessary information in order for the design process to begin, in 5 working days. This is in order to protect Detail Movement's time and commitments to other clients that have purchased our services and for Detail Movement to maintain the standard and quality of our design services. In this case, a full refund will be issued and no design service will be delivered to the client.
5.2 If for any reason, the client has provided the information, but the payment has not come through or is refused by the bank, in 5 working days, Detail Movement reserves the right to refuse services to any client that has purchased our design services. This is in order to protect Detail Movement's time and commitments to other clients that have purchased our services and for Detail Movement to maintain the standard and quality of our design services. In this case, a full refund will be issued and no design service will be delivered to the client.
5.2.1 If this was due to a technical issue on behalf of the client or the client’s representative bank and the client still wishes to work with Detail Movement, a new design purchase process can begin, subject to the same Terms and Conditions.
5.3 Detail Movement reserves the right to refuse services to any client that requests a design solution for any other design style that is not Detail Movement's area of expertise. I.e. if the client requests a Classical Style design when Detail Movement provides designs in the Scandinavian, Mid-Modern Century, Japandi, and Modern styles (or a combination of all the previously mentioned). A decent design solution on our part in an area that is not our expertise, will not only reflect poorly on our design practice but will also deprive you of the quality design service that you are entitled to. For that reason, if you wish a design concept in a different style to the one Detail Movement provides, please feel free to contact different designers who are experts in the particular design style you are searching for. This way, you will benefit the most from your design journey.
5.4 Detail Movement reserves the right to refuse services to any client that does not agree with these Terms and Conditions.
